Bio: I was born in Germany, not long after the end of WW II. My mother, a war widow, met my British father in our home town Hildesheim. You see, the town was now in the British occupied zone. My father was in the RAF and was directly involved in the towns destruction only a couple of month before the war ended. He certainly never dreamed of having to come back and help with rebuilding it. Also falling in love with a German women was the furthest from his mind. I came to England in 1969 just for one year, you understand, stayed another and another and so on because I am still here. I write books now showing the war from the point of normal families on both sites.
