What is in a word ? ‘Ruthless’

Have you ever wondered who Ruth was or is, if somebody is ruthless? Did that somebody leave her behind ? Was Ruth expected but she could not get there? Do you arrive at a dinner alone, but a place had been set for two. Do you apologies and  say, I am ever so sorry but today  I am Ruthless?

Ticker Tape douglas-macarthur[1]ticker tapeParades in NYC , do they still exist ? I remember watching them on the telly. In black and white of course. I clearly remember the one after the landing on the moon. Neil Armstrong, Edwin Aldrin, Michael Collis.There was one on April 22nd 1951 for general Douglas Mac Arthur. Ticker Trade Parade must have been the biggest honour you could think of, beside winning  a gold medal at the Olympics I guess.
