There are many things we should be thankful for, one being, the courage and foresight of Mikhail ( I love that name anyway) Gorbachev. Or as the World so fondly called him ‘Gorby’. And yet on the 18th of August 1991 Moscow staged a coup against him. Luckily then, it failed. What happened to the World after this? Has the emphasis simply changed?
